Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) is about so much more than a TV show. It is a process of character creation, family, and Indian values. When the serial first aired on January 12, 2009, on Star Plus, the serial was the longest-running Hindi television drama. Director’s Kut Productions produced the serial under the direction of Rajan Shahi, fusing thinking of the modern era with culture-dependent values based on tradition, with something for individuals of all age groups to relate to.

The series began with Akshara, a child bride, entering into a shotgun marriage with Naitik. 2nd Season (2016-2021): Naira and Kartik

3rd Season (2021-2023): Akshara and Abhimanyu

Akshara the musician and Abhimanyu doctor fell in love through a host of emotional difficulties and family dynamics. YRKKH looked further afield from the soap opera cliches and addressed subjects like mental health, infertility, and co-parenting. Akshara has decided to nurture her son with Abhimanyu, Abhir by herself.

4th Season (2023-Present): Abhira and Armaan

Samridhii Shukla, Rohit Purohit (taking over from Shehzada Dhami), Garvita Sadhwani. The current track is that of Abhira, a working and smart young woman who marries into the conservative Poddar family. It depicts family manipulation, inner conflict, convoluted love angle, and self-respect. and it is chart topping with the audiences for its gripping story line and new-age thinking.
